Kids getting wasted on the Internet!

Your kids might be getting high on YouTube, parents. Beware: “digital drugs.”

A video, called “LSD: Hallucinate without Drugs,” shows a flickering black-to-red screen overlayed with fast-paced warbling soundwaves, sounds you might associate with space or MRI machines or robots. There’s a caption bar that instructs the user to “use headphones, play in fullscreen mode, close your eyes (you’ll still sense flickering) in a dark room.”

Called “iDosers,” these videos and sounds harmlessly attempt to simulate the experience of tripping or doing nitrous or cocaine or whatever by tricking the eyes and brain with optical (and audio?) illusion.

“Great for introspection,” the caption continues, “insight into your life, esp. creativity, art.” One of several commenters reporting on their experiences writes, “i just saw a llama... weird. i guess i’m a llama then?”

The videos are mostly LSD- and marijuana-based, and there are quite a few to be found. There are videos of kids listening/reacting to them as well.

And of the grown-ups overreacting: A video of an Oklahoma news report shows a spokesman for the bureau of narcotics saying that “it’s not so much the iDosing,” but the “ads on there of how to find marijuana, how do you buy legally marijuana” and “I think that’s the entire intent behind the people who put iDosing out there.” (Bullshit.)

On “Virtual High from Binaural Beats,” comments from the digitally fucked-up go like this:

“watch it then look around, your vision is wavy for a few seconds. big whoop!!”

“sounds like a vacuum cleaner.”

“nothing happened... my hedphones are messed up tho.”

I am not saying how the I-Doser will or will not give you a high, but I am saying they will alter the way you feel. Some question the credibility of this method, because many things can alter how we feel from one second to the next. Take music in general, it often changes the state of one's emotions within a simple seconds. Sometimes noises in general change your mood, like whenever you hear non-stop loud sounds you are able to sometimes get annoyed. To me the I-Doser essentially gives you a chance to change your mood through sound, not necessarily get you high. So don't go take out a payday advance to buy I-Dosers, just turn on your radio.

Individuals wonder about the reality of whether or not you will obtain a high from link:http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2010/07/22/i-doser-binaural-beat/. Not because of anything more than the truth that anything can alter the way we feel. Take music in general, it often changes the state of one's emotions within a simple seconds. On the other hand, a loud construction site could change your mood also. I do not know if I-dosing really gives you a high, or if it simply changes your state of being. Often all you have to do to get "high" is turn on your radio. You are a lot less likely to have to take out an installment loan for a radio.
