The Meadows has been around since 1995, according to Jim Koplick, chairman of the Northeast region for the live-events company Live Nation. Meadows is the only amphitheater in Connecticut and sells out national headlining acts like Tom Petty, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay (playing again this summer), Pearl Jam, the Jonas Brothers, Kid Rock, and Kanye West. Last year, Koplick says, the amphitheater saw 300,000 people attending its shows, and he's ready for another busy summer.
