Spring is a good time for blues at Black-eyed Sally's. Every Thursday in May, four to five bands will compete in the first round of the International Blues Challenge. The winner goes down to Memphis (which is the city where owner James Varano and his wife got the inspiration to open a blues club, after seeing the music scene on Beale Street). On June 4, Black-eyed Sally's puts on the 10th Annual Blues Fest in Bushnell Park. It's ribs, beer and blues from 6-10 p.m.
