Rein's was founded by the Rein family (from New York) in 1972. Steve Kassman, a partner and co-owner of the restaurant, says the restaurant, which seats nearly 200 people, specializes in New York-style Jewish deli food. "We carry a lot of Hebrew and kosher foods," Kassman says. "We carry many other items, too. We serve traditional Jewish-style foods, pickles, salads, spinach salads, alternative things like egg whites. We have everything." The deli/restaurant/bar/lounge is open from 7 in the morning and stays open until midnight. "We sometimes have customers who are here for one or two meals in a day," Kassman says.
