Connecticut's own Wendell Minor is the award-winning illustrator of more than 2,000 books, among them Fried Green Tomatoes by Fannie Flagg, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and Terms of Endearment by Larry McMurtry. The New Britain Museum of American Art's exhibit, Wendell Minor: Reaching for the Moon, showcases some of the artist's most prized illustrations, and costumes and props that have inspired his creations.
